“Flambeau,” the French word for torch, is a burning rod used for lighting. In this case, a “flambeau” is an ornamental torch in the form of a glass candlestick, featuring white roses and green leaves, crafted by master glassmakers from Murano, the Venetian island renowned worldwide for its centuries-old tradition of artistic glassmaking.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, flambeaux were used as decorative table centerpieces in aristocratic homes and placed in pairs on consoles or mantelpieces.
Today, just as in the past, they are once again used as decorative lighting for the living area. As a stylish form of lighting, they are a popular addition to both modern and romantic living spaces, complementing elegant, simple interiors and serving as a true highlight.
